Qilian Mountain Grassland, spanning the border of Qinghai and Gansu provinces, is one of China's "Six Most Beautiful Grasslands" with an average altitude of 4,000-5,000m. This alpine meadow dazzles with silver-capped peaks, emerald pastures dotted with yaks and sheep, and rare "Three Winter Friends" plants (snow lotus, caterpillar fungus, and snow grass). Best visited July-August, it offers horseback riding, glacier views, and Tibetan nomadic culture experiences.
Zhuoer Mountain, located in Qilian County, Qinghai Province, is a stunning AAAA-rated scenic area renowned for its unique Danxia landform featuring red sandstone cliffs and lush grasslands. At an average altitude of 2,930m, it offers panoramic views of the Qilian Mountains, often called the "Switzerland of the East," and is famed for its summer seas of golden rapeseed flowers and Tibetan cultural landmarks like the Ethnic Unity Harmony Pagoda.
