The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (CRBGPB) is a AAAA-rated tourist attraction and a global leader in giant panda conservation. Established in 1987 with just six rescued pandas, it now spans 3,570 acres (equivalent to 90 football fields) and hosts 215+ pandas (as of 2025), making it the largest captive breeding population worldwide.
Expanding to 120–150 pandas and enhancing wild reintroduction programs via Panda Valley.
