Chinese Milu Deer Park, located in Dafeng, Yancheng (Jiangsu Province), is the world's largest nature reserve for Père David's deer (milu), a species once extinct in China. Spanning 78,000 hectares, it hosts over 1,300 milu deer and integrates conservation, research, and eco-tourism. Visitors can observe semi-wild herds, explore wetlands, and learn about this "four-disparities" deer's dramatic revival.
Chinese Milu Deer Park (中华麋鹿园) is a UNESCO-listed wetland and 5A-rated scenic area, celebrated as the world’s largest milu sanctuary. Established in 1986, it revived the species from 39 deer reintroduced from the UK. Today, it safeguards 1/3 of the global milu population and pioneers biodiversity research.
