Sanhe Ancient Town, a 2,500-year-old AAAAA-rated water town in Anhui, blends Hui-style architecture, three converging rivers, and Ming-Qing heritage. Known for its "Eight Ancient" landmarks and Ming Dynasty battlefields, it’s a living museum of Jianghuai culture and gourmet delights like _mi jiao_ (rice dumplings).
Located at the confluence of Feixi, Lujiang, and Shucheng counties (35km from Hefei), Sanhe Ancient Town (三河古镇) is a UNESCO-listed historic gem and Anhui’s first 5A-rated water town (2015). Named after the Fengle, Hangbu, and Xiaonan rivers, it spans 2.9 km² and preserves Tang to Republican-era streetscapes with 96% original architecture.
