The Sanya Tourism Board (STB) is the official destination marketing organization for Sanya, Hainan, established in 2020 to promote the city as a world-class tropical resort. Haitang Bay, located 28km northeast of Sanya, is one of China's five major bays and a designated "National Coast" development zone. Known for its pristine 21.8km coastline, luxury resorts like Atlantis Sanya, and world-class diving at Wuzhizhou Island, it blends unspoiled beaches with high-end tourism infrastructure.
Luhuitou Park, known as "Sanya's Love Mountain," is a legendary AAA-rated scenic spot featuring a 15m-tall deer sculpture symbolizing a timeless Li ethnic love story. Offering panoramic city/bay views, it combines romance, ecology, and Li culture with free entry since 2022.
Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, located 40km southwest of Sanya, is a UNESCO-listed Buddhist sanctuary famed for its 108m-tall Guanyin Statue—the world’s tallest gold-jade sea-viewing deity. Spanning 34.7km² (13.3km² ocean), it blends Tang Dynasty temples, coral reefs, and Li minority traditions under the mantra "Happiness in the East Sea, Longevity in Nanshan."
Wuzhizhou Island, dubbed "China’s Maldives," is a heart-shaped tropical paradise in Sanya’s Haitang Bay. Renowned for its 27m-visibility "glass sea," vibrant coral reefs, and over 2,700 plant species, it offers world-class diving, romantic landmarks like Lover’s Bridge, and luxury eco-resorts.
Tianya Haijiao (Ends of the Earth) is a legendary coastal park in Sanya, Hainan, famed for its poetic granite boulders carved with "Tianya" (Sky’s Edge) and "Haijiao" (Sea’s Corner). A UNESCO-listed geopark, it symbolizes eternal love and cultural heritage, blending tropical beaches, historic inscriptions, and Li minority folklore.
Yalong Bay, known as "China's Hawaii," is a crescent-shaped tropical paradise in Sanya, Hainan. With its 8km flour-soft white sand beach, crystal-clear waters (visibility up to 10m), and vibrant coral reefs, it’s a top-tier destination for diving, luxury resorts, and Li culture experiences.
